Oats and Honey Soap
This special bar is made up of a balance of oils, butters, oats and Honey formulated for a luxurious and exfoliating bar of soap. Made with a special blend of Organic Shea butter, Coconut, Olive, Sunflower Seed and Avocado oil, organic oats and locally sourced honey! This soap with its intoxicating aroma of honey and vanilla fragrance, paired with organic local honey gives this bar a sweet aroma. We have created a new recipe adding just a touch of shea butter to add another layer of moisturizing to the skin, specifically targeted at problematic skin like eczema and psoriasis which I suffer from personally.
Honey can be used as part of a dry skin regimen because its composition is described as s humectant. A humectant is an item or substance that attracts moisture and keeps in locked inside. People have oily skin can benefit from honey as well; the sweetener can help your skin retain moisture and elasticity without drying it out.
Honey is a natural antioxidant, which proves beneficial when taken internally, but it also provides protective benefits when used topically on the skin. Antioxidants can protect internal organs from a type of damage called oxidative stress, which can lead to better overall health in some cases. The Skin Care Resource Center reports that current research has determined the effectiveness of honey as a natural form of sunscreen, to protect the skin from sun damage such as premature wrinkling, a condition that in some people can lead to skin cancer.
Eczema is a skin condition where the skin becomes irritated or inflamed. The healing and moisturizing properties of shea butter make an excellent topical treatment for eczema. It can be applied liberally to the affected area daily. The anti-inflammatory properties provide needed relief and the nutrients in shea butter help promote healthy skin cell re-growth.
This is a 140g/4oz bar that will last a month with proper care.
